Six months and counting...

It's been a long time since I've updated this blog. A lot has happened during September and the first couple of weeks of October. Lucy has been to the zoo, the aquarium, Stone Mountain, a Georgia state fair, lots of parks and Nashville. She's visited with her aunts April and Bekah, cousin Gabriel and her Pawpaw. She's getting better with both strangers and long car trips. She's started eating real (kind of) food, had tastes of cake (thanks Pawpaw) and suffered a nasty cold. But, biggest news of all, she's been crawling and pulling herself up for a month! Andy and I are learning exactly how quickly you have to adapt as parents. She's all over the place!

I hope the pictures convey some of the energy and joy that she exudes every day. Sorry there are so many. I'm poor at editing.

Day at the aquarium. Not too impressed with the world's largest fish tank, I guess.

In Nashville with cousin Gabriel. This was the only picture of the two of them together in which they both are even remotely looking at the camera.

Trying to get the camera

Gabriel demonstrates sheer joy (with string).

Gabriel and his mom take a walk (with string).

Gabriel upacks a bag while Lucy chews on everything in her path.

Lucy's first taste of carrot cake (thanks Pawpaw!).

Piggy-backing

Knee slapping. This just started last week and is a sign that she's excited. Her arm really gets swinging when Andy comes home from work.
